Busy, Busy, Busy...

I just shot nine engagement sessions in a week and a half...and two weddings...I think October is becoming more popular then June. I can see why it is a really pretty time of year. I'll be posting images very soon! Happy Fall everyone! Actually I'm leaving for Minnesota this Tuesday and I heard they have already had snow there :( So I guess we're closer to winter now!

Marla and Josh's ceremony and reception were held at the Westin downtown Cincinnati, and it was the same weekend as the taste of Cincinnati, we almost didn't go outside to do pictures. I'm so happy they decided to go out after all, I think we got some amazing photos of these two!

Julie and Brian's wedding was the last wedding I shot before going on maternity leave. I knew this was going to be an awesome wedding as soon as she booked! The ceremony and reception were held at Oneonta in Kentucky...which is now my new favorite place to shoot!! It's so pretty there, a perfect back drop for a beautiful ceremony and reception!

I'm finally getting caught up with sleep, parenting,...laundry..work..you know all that good stuff...so I thought I would start posting some of my amazing weddings from this last summer..

Sarah and Adam had a great day, beautiful weather, beautiful couple what more could I ask for! And now this great couple is expecting their first baby! I couldn't be more excited for them!

They had a Grateful Dead cover band at the reception..oh it was so much fun. It brought back a lot of memories!

Actually we brought three cameras to the hospital, my camera bag was almost bigger then my overnight bag. I just thought I would post some images of my new pride and joy!

I finally had the baby! She was a little late...but worth the wait. Audrey Cecilia was born 9.16.08 at 7lbs and 14 oz. I'll post pictures soon, but I just wanted to let everyone know the reason for so little posts the last couple of months. Things have been crazy just trying to keep up with the wedding season, all the remodeling going on at our house and coping with being pregnant in the hottest time of the year! But all good things...Thanks to everyone for checking out the blog or even checking back. I'll update it soon!

These are a few images from the last wedding I shot in 2007.......

This little man almost went home with me!!!

After the last wedding we headed to NEW YORK CITY!! :) This was my first trip to the big apple and I loved it!

Shortly after we got home we found out we were going to have a baby...and 3 1/2 months later I started to feel normal again! The tatoo is temporary, our family calls the baby Pat because we're not finding out the sex...they think they're so funny...

So that sums everything up since last November...

Things have been crazy lately ( in a good way). My husband and I found out we were pregnant in Jan. and then I spent the first 3 and 1/2 months so sick!!...And then wedding season started and I lost track of time...so with that said it's my goal to start posting some of the great new pics from this season this week. Debora and Prageeth

I don't really know where to begin with this wedding. First, it was my first time to Lexington, KY. I loved all of the Kentucky Derby hats! This store is in the lobby of the Marriott hotel in Lexington. The Creator of these hats is Anne Sawyer (866.478.4287), she provides many of the hats you see at the Kentucky Derby. In fact they did an interview with her last year on one of the morning shows with Al Roker. If you're looking for a unique Derby hat you should check out her shop! ...So this is where I started while I was waiting for Debora to come down to the lobby....

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Debora and Prageeth before their wedding...so when she walked into the lobby I was stunned! She looked amazing! Not only did she look amazing but she really is a fantastic person on the inside too. Even though her outside ceremony had to be moved to inside the tent due to rain she was still all smiles the whole day.

Debora's family is from Argentina, and they have some very fun and unique traditions. First is the cake pull. There is a string in this cake for each single girl. They all grab on and pull their strings at the same time. The girl who pulls out the one with a wedding ring charm on it is the next to get married. It was so much fun. There were other charms that represented all sorts of things like money, success, health...things like that.

Here was another surprise, Debora and Prageeth are professional ballroom dancers. Their first dance was a work of art! I can't possibly put into words how beautiful their dance was. It was probably one of the sexiest first dances I've ever seen!

Another tradition is to give each of the single girls a garter off of Debora. She had 30 garters on her leg, and the way it works is Prageeth removes a garter from Debora and places it on each single lady there! It was soooooo much fun. They played really fast music to make it really festive. I love that they really take care of the single ladies in Argentina (they tossed the bouquet too).

I had so much fun at this wedding, I am truly so happy for Debora and Prageeth and I wish them all the love and luck in the world!

First I have to tell you that these beautiful flowers are from Two Little Buds (www.TWOLITTLEBUDS.com). They do amazing work! Alice and Mindy are a mother/daughter team that just started their business this past spring. Every time I see their bouquets I'm blown away, they are just so beautiful! I went out last week with Lisa and Kevin for an after wedding shoot, I think we got a lot of really beautiful pictures...but then it's hard to take a bad picture of Lisa and Kevin.

Jenny and Jason's wedding was straight out of the past. From her dress, to her jewelery, their cake topper (which was Jenny's parents), to Jason's vintage Buick. What a fun day. My favorite part was all the new, cool places they took me. Mother of God church in Covington which is now my new favorite church. Highly recommend it! It's beautiful inside and out. And the Syndicate..what a cool place to shoot. Over all this was just a really fun wedding...and I loved that Grace Kelly was Jenny's inspiration for the whole event.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! That was the theme of this day for sure! Joanna and Heath are soooo in love and everyone around them is so in love with them as a couple! It was a fantastic day, fantastic wedding! The ceremony was in Crestview Hills, Ky and the reception was at the Millennium Hotel downtown.

I really love bag pipe players, I don't know if I have ever told anyone that before... but I really really love bag pipe players.....

10.6.07 Lisa and Kevin

Time really flew the past few months from when I shoot Lisa's sister's wedding this past August. I could not believe it was already time for Lisa and Kevin's wedding! What a beautiful couple, Lisa looked absolutely stunning! Their ceremony was at the beautiful St. Cecilia church on Madison Rd. and their reception was up at Drees Pavilion. I had so much fun at this wedding. We started at Salon on Madison Rd, which is where Lisa works (if anyone is looking for a great salon, the place is awesome!). Then we went to Kenwood Towne Centre for the girls to get their make-up done, and I thought that was a great idea. Guys always do "guy" stuff on the wedding they might go play some gulf in the morning, or watch some collage football...or in Kevin's case go to the pub..., so why shouldn't the girls go shopping, and do something really girly! It was great, I loved it.

When I met Elizabeth and Matt for the first time I could tell I was going to fall in love with this couple. They are so stinking sweet! They had their ceremony at St Frances De Sales on Madison Road. Their reception was downtown at the Phoenix. What a great day! A lot of laughing and crying!

Joe and Joy's wedding was a little different then my usual weddings. This is a second marriage for both and they really only wanted some images of them and their children together. So this started as a 2-3 hour day, but I found out that they had hired a band to play at the reception and they were also doing a cake cutting, so I told Joe, I have to stay and take pictures of that! This is all part of the day right! So I stayed for a little of the dancing....I'm glad I did!

Believe it or not Jenny drove in from Toledo at 4 pm the day of her wedding..she finished her collage final exams and was ready to get married. So calm, I would be freaking out in traffic if it was my wedding day and I had a 4 hour drive to get to Cincinnati! But Jenny didn't freak out at all, she was so happy the whole day, I don't think the smile left her face the whole night!

O-H-I-O...we all know this dance...When ever this song comes on it's hard for me not to do it too...but I have to remember I'm there to take pictures...

Who doesn't love the Y-M-C-A! This is by far the best "Y" I've seen!

I shoot this wedding last month (Through Steve Lyons Photography) but I just finished editing their images a couple of weeks ago and I was so happy with the pictures and with the bride and groom that I wanted to post a few. These two are truly meant for each other. They both were glowing the whole day, along with their families. Christine's dad had a smile on his face from ear to ear the whole day (Literally)! This was one of those weddings where every where I turned people were laughing, dancing and having a GREAT time! There was a lot of love around these two. What an awesome couple, I wish them all the love in the world. Congratulations Christine and Donavan, I'm so glad I was part of your wedding day!

Christina was such a beautiful bride inside and out, everything was just gorgeous! The ceremony was at Good Shepard, and their receptions was at the Manor House. They had a great live band that sang Prince's Purple Rain that was so good it made me want to dance. I can't wait to shoot her sister's wedding in October!

Of course they had to have football chocolates at the candy table...

They flew in a Blues Brothers cover band..That was so much fun. They gave all their guest black hats and sunglasses to get them in the mood.

Who knew Jeff could sing...and he was really good, He kind of sounded like Tom Waits...
